Connecting with ABWE International's Healthcare Ministries

After 21 years pioneering the Ukraine village clinic ministry and Choose Life post-abortion ministry and crisis pregnancy center, God called Dr. Miriam R. Wheeler to become the ABWE Medical Director of International Missionary Healthcare.
At the invitation of Dr. Miriam R. Wheeler, members of CMDA in South Central Pennsylvania had the privilege to receive an introduction to ABWE’s Healthcare Ministries at their international headquarters in New Cumberland, PA. Truly a privilege not just to have connected with CMDA members who serve with ABWE and interact with their representatives at national conferences (e.g., Global Missions Health Conference and CMDA’s National Convention) and local CMDA gatherings, but also now to have heard ABWE’s passion for medical missions from a number of their representatives.
“After nearly 100-years of medical missions, we’ve learned this: healthcare is a powerful tool for healing both the body and the soul.”
Furthermore, listening to reports about / from their particular focal points for healthcare ministry, e.g., their extension of the Gospel in unreached areas (e.g., South Asia, North Africa, Subsaharan Africa, and South America) and their labors in partnership with International CMDA in Ukraine, included some powerful moments. Today, let us continue to lift up the extension of Christ’s hope and healing through healthcare professionals.
