Healthcare on Mission: Connecting your Career with your Call

Dinner with Docs

CMDA Student Life is organizing round table discussions during the regular dinner hour from with Christian healthcare clinicians on topics that pertain to a unique career in medicine or dentistry. Each table will have its own discussion topic and 1-2 physicians to discuss with, including learning about how God directed them in their career, their experience serving in that specific capacity, and how they have kept Christ at the center of their pursuits. You are free to move between tables during dinner. Table topics include:

• Academia and research

• Christian surgeons

• Christian dentistry

• Diversity in medicine

• Long-term/short-term global missions

• Medical education

• Medical ethics and public policy

• Raising a Godly family while having a demanding career

• Rural medicine

• Serving the marginalized

• Urban underserved medicine

• Women in medicine

CMDA is a cohort of incredible medical professionals across the globe who serve Christ in extraordinary ways. We hope that by hearing some of these stories, you will be inspired, and gain a sharper vision of how Christ might be calling you to serve with their careers. We also hope that this event can serve as a catalyst for mentorship relationships between healthcare clinicians and students.
