Prayer And Fasting For The Dobbs Case
I’m coming to you today with an urgent message about a topic that should be on the minds of every single Christian in healthcare. [WATCH VIDEO FROM DR. MIKE CHUPP]
For nearly 50 years since Roe v. Wade was passed, abortion has been a blight on our country. However, on Wednesday, December 1, in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, the U.S. Supreme Court is reviewing Mississippi’s ban on abortions after 15 weeks, except for cases of medical emergency. More than ever, this case has the opportunity to speak to the value and intrinsic worth of human life, created in the image of God. It is time for the law of our land to catch up with advances in medical science and support the human rights of all of our patients.
CMDA’s leadership feels led by the Lord to join together as the body of Christ and set aside Wednesday, December 1 as a Day of Prayer and Fasting. I hope you will join me in spending time on this specific day petitioning God to move mightily and miraculously to protect the unborn. We desperately need God to open the eyes of our lawmakers to see the deception of abortion and give them courage to stand against this assault on His children.
And one more thing, on December 1, I will be wearing my white coat and personally standing on the steps of the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. with other like-minded healthcare professionals as we speak out for our patients, mothers and their unborn children. I invite you to join me, as we seek to make our voices heard on this important issue in our country.
