Through the Watches of The Night
Episode #18
Dr. Scott Conley was born and raised near Philadelphia, so, for better or for worse, he is a lifelong Philly sports fan (go Eagles!). While he grew up in a Christian home, he credits the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship on campus at Drexel University for helping his faith come alive. Scott studied Chemical Engineering at Drexel until God called him toward medicine.
After receiving his undergrad degree, he married his wife Tracy, moved to Hershey PA, and begin medical school at the Penn State College of Medicine. The Christian Medical Society chapter on campus at Hershey was critical for his and his wife’s survival of medical school. After medical school, Scott trained at the Lancaster General Family Medicine Residency program in Lancaster PA.
He eventually settled into private practice at Norlanco Family Medicine, a large single speciality family medicine practice in Elizabethtown, PA. Scott stays connected with the CMDA group at Hershey, speaking at lunch lectures and having been on medical mission trips with the students in years past. He also precepts residents at the Lancaster General Family Medicine Residency clinic. He and his wife have two daughters.
In this episode Scott Conley, MD shares about his book "Through the Watches of the Night" about the spiritual lessons he has learned during his training & practice years.
