Healing For The Nations

Healing For The Nations

Episode #27, #28

At 22 years old, Dr. Val Tramonte met Jesus and at that moment fully surrendered everything to Him. As a result of that surrender, God has taken Val on an incredible adventure of a life, which has included not only becoming a physician, but also learning God’s heart for healing that surpasses simply treating disease. This surrendered life has also included a centrality of the gospel in all that Val says and does, which has led to Val speaking at or leading numerous retreats, conferences and international mission trips. In the field of medicine, Val graduated from University of Nevada School of Medicine, after which he completed his family medicine training at In His Image Family Residency Program in 2008. He went on to be a faculty member at In His Image until 2014. During his time at In His Image, Val was recognized as the Resident Teacher of the Year in 2008 and later Faculty Teacher of the Year in 2010. Currently, Val works part-time as a hospitalist so he can be both fully engaged as a dad and husband and also offer to the world his non-medical gifts that God has in recent years been unearthing. These other gifts include speaking, leading, discipleship and art, including spoken word poetry. Second only to Val’s devotion to Jesus is his devotion to his wife Katie and his three “warrior-in-training” sons, ages 3, 6 and 7. God has given them as a family an amazing life of loving each other and following Jesus…however and wherever He leads them.

Val’s talk will focus on the centrality of Jesus and the gospel in our lives, message and mission. It will be based on Paul’s first letter to the Corinthian church, chapter 2, verses 1-5.
