113: Why Your Answer Should Always Be YES to God

Episode #113

Join host Bill Reichart as 4th year medical student, Bethany Taylor, shares her transformative experience as the only U.S. medical student at the International CMDA World Congress in Tanzania. From unexpected challenges to divine encounters, discover how stepping into global Christian community reshaped her faith, her vision for medicine, and her calling. Whether you're curious about international service or seeking courage to step beyond your comfort zone, this episode will inspire you to consider the upcoming South Korea World Congress in 2026.

Bethany Taylor is a fourth-year medical student who returned to school later in life after years devoted to raising her family and engaging in both local and international missions. She has worked with refugees in the U.S., advocated for public health in Ethiopian orphanages, performed research on prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, and founded a nonprofit supporting women and children facing domestic violence in Tanzania. Her experiences in global development and service continue to shape her heart for advocacy, mentorship, and faith-driven leadership in medicine. Within the Christian Medical & Dental Associations, Bethany has served as president of her local campus chapter, and currently serves as the Northeast Student Representative as well as a student representative for CMDA’s mentorship and discipleship program. She has attended two CMDA National Conventions and the International World Congress of CMDA in Tanzania in 2023.
