Dr. Peter Hountras graduated from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in 2011 and completed an internal medicine residency at Loyola University School of Medicine followed by a Pulmonary & Critical Care fellowship at Northwestern University. Dr. Hountras is currently Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Hospital specializing pulmonary vascular disease which includes being the medical director of both the PERT and HHT program.
He was a student leader and a resident leader in CMDA, leading the National Student Community and the National Resident & Fellow Community during his training years.
Gerry Langan is a Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and Congestive Heart Failure patient advocate, content creator, and podcast host of Rarely Typical. Diagnosed in 2018, she shares her story to raise awareness, empower patients, and bring hope to the chronic illness and rare disease community.
