Putting Faith on Display within Healthcare

Episode #86

Bill and guest, Madison Kritsch, OMS III from Rocky Vista University, discuss how she came to medical school and how going on a CMDA GHO trip changed her

I was born and raised in Bakersfield, California and did two years of undergrad at a small Christian school in Texas, and two in San Diego where my calling to serve the Kingdom through medicine was solidified. After graduating, I went to the Dominican Republic to serve in the local hospital and had the opportunity to shadow doctors in a variety of specialties. My time there afforded me the chance to really practice speaking Spanish and has been a blessing for the trips I took back to the Dominican and to Nicaragua during my spring breaks. In my free time, I enjoy reading historical fiction books, especially by Francine Rivers. I appreciate being taken back to a time and place outside of my own reality. If I were in California, I would say that I spend every spare moment at the beach or on the farm I worked at in Bakersfield. Otherwise, I enjoy investing time in my friendships and serving in my church community.
